For a summer camp, an oratory holiday or a week at the seaside with your group, Casa FMA Soverato is a simple base on the Orange Coast. It is run by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, in Via San Giovanni Bosco.
Who it is for
The house suits parish and oratory groups, families, associations and communities who want to combine the sea of the Ionian coast with moments of shared life. With 15 rooms it is suitable for medium-sized groups.

Why Soverato works for groups
- The sea. The beaches are wide, with pale sand and a gently shelving seabed: suitable even for the youngest.
- Outings. Copanello and Caminia for snorkelling, the village of Squillace with its ceramics workshops, the Scolacium Archaeological Park: ideas for days away from the beach.
- The evenings. The seafront is lively in summer, with concerts and events.
How to organise the camp
- Fix your dates early. July and August are the months most in demand: book as early as the winter.
- Avoid the hottest hours. On the beach early in the morning and in the late afternoon; the middle of the day is for activities indoors.
- June and September. The sea is already warm and the coast quieter: ideal for a retreat or a smaller, more close-knit group camp.
- Ask the house what is available. Meals, shared spaces and timetables should be agreed according to your programme.
